Fire Safety Principles
The Fire Safety Principles course allows candidates to develop their basic fire safety awareness. It is particularly useful for employees who are to have a designated responsibility for workplace fire safety, for example as fire wardens or fire marshals, and provides the knowledge that will allow them to carry out duties relating to fire safety and emergency procedures.

Who is this course for?
Natural Safety Solutions Fire Safety Awareness workshops are for people at any level, in any sector, who need a ‘grounding’ in the essentials of onsite fire prevention. Everyone at work should have an understanding of why they must ‘work safely ’ – and this course offers exactly that.
Especially useful for employees who hope to develop their basic fire safety awareness in order to assist their employer by undertaking more specific fire safety roles in the workplace to manage fire risk (e.g. as fire wardens/marshals/stewards etc.)
The course meets the HSE guidelines for introductory workplace fire prevention training and is a 100 per cent match to the Health and Safety Executive’s ‘passport’ syllabus.
Course Duration:
1 day, but can be extended to include fire extinguisher practical sessions (1/2 day)
Assessment and Certification:
Understanding of the course material is evaluated by means of multi-choice questions and a hazard spotting exercise.
Delegates who successfully complete the written and practical assessments can choose between Natural Safety Solutions certificate or a credit card-sized NSS ‘passport’ card.
